Interesting that, encountering leaves on the ground, you sense and identify with 'time(s) past' Graeme.

What of the nourishment that one season's fallen leaves will - through the richly renewing natural process we rather to glibly give the one way street label 'decay' - bring to the luxuriance of a subsequent season's fresh botanical growth and blooming?

And, sparking off Stephanie's thought, what if this unique visual happened to be a kind of collage: a base photo on which actual decaying leaves are artfully placed to genially provoke fresh thoughts in the realising viewer's eye?

Thanks Graeme, for posting thoughts of Proust and Hockney into my imaginative mind on happening to click open this latest of your distinctively succinct image & word combos arrived in my inbox.

Oh I loved this. I've never once thought of this lens on leaves and now forever will Graeme. And what a unique visual you've given us, as always.
